Pitt’s Maggot 2025 Dance List

The 2025 Pitt’s Maggot was a great success with attendance up after the long pandemic years. We also introduced a callers session on Sunday that drew 8 callers. Annual Meeting potluck picnic and dance Saturday

Come on out for our annual gathering this Saturday.  We’ll have a potluck picnic beginning at 11:30 am on the patio (behind the Friends Meeting House) then meet to elect officers and board members for the coming year, and have our dance from 12:30-3.  We’ll use the Friends kitchen and picnic outdoors or indoors as weather permits.  Bring something to share.  All dancers new and old are welcome to the potluck and meeting.

At the AGM, VP Jo Schlesinger will preside, and we will have an annual report, a treasurer’s report plus discussion.  CDSSP Members can vote in the election.

For the election We have the following slate of officers for one year terms: Arthur McNair for President, Jo Schlesinger VP, Jim Morgan Secretary, Irene Finke, Treasurer.  For the at large board members, joining carryover Gaye Fifer (23-26),  Chuck Cross and Jack Penkrot are proposed for a three year terms (24-27), and Ruthanne Ankney is proposed to complete Irene  Finke’s 2-year term.   We thank George Patterson for his long service as treasurer, and Linda Eastman for her just completed 3-year term on the Board.  Nominations from the floor are acceptable. 

For the dance, we have a cavalcade of callers with some of our favorite dances to music of our wonderful The Usual Suspects.  The draft list of callers and possible dances includes

Save the date for our English Dance Weekend April 5-7. We have a young exciting caller from Michigan, Mae Wilson, and the new HiJinks band with musicians from Philadelphia and DC: Miranda Weinberg, Kathy Talvitie and Carrie Rose.
